Handwritten manuscript of "Historical notices or suplement [sic] to the History of the Revolutionary War in the western part of No. Carolina" (16 p.) by Joseph Graham; a letter from Archibald De Bow Murphey to Charles Conner and two letters from Murphey to Graham about this manuscript; a letter from Graham to Conner discussing the Revolutionary War in North Carolina; part of a volume, 1769-1864, containing lists of slaves belonging to Graham and his son-in-law, Robert Hall Morrison (1798-1889); and "The National Intelligencer and Revolutionary War Legends" by William A. Graham.

Robert Hall Morrison was the first President of Davidson College serving from 1836 to 1840. A graduate of the University of North Carolina (1816), Morrison was licensed as a Presbyterian minister by the Concord Presbytery.
